Water Damage Restoration

Emergency 24 Hour Service

Something we never want to experience – flood and water damage to our business or residence. Water damage restoration basically is the restoring of your property back to pre-loss conditions.

There are three classes of water damage:

  1. Class 1 Water Damage
The least amount of water, absorption and evaporation. This is basically water that only affects part of a room or area. The water is usually clear and would typically come from a broken pipe, toilet tank or bowl, faucets.
  2. Class 2 Water Damage
Categorized as large amounts of water, absorption and evaporation. Includes water losses that affect at least an entire room or carpet and water that has wicked up walls less than 24″. There is moisture remaining in the plywood, particleboard, or concrete. The water contains some contaminants and is known as grey water. This type of leak typically comes from washing machine overload, toilet overflow with urine only, and dishwasher overflow.
  3. Class 3 Water Damage
The greatest amount of water, absorption and evaporation. Water has wicked up over 24″ or water that has come from overhead affected ceilings, walls, insulation, carpet, and sub-floor. Known as black water, this is unsanitary and could illness. Sources for this water are sewage backup, flooding, water from toilet trap or backed up toilet with waste, and standing water that has begun to support microbial growth.

Our cleaning process is to:

  • Identify the class of water and source – make sure it has been contained by a plumber or has stopped due to rain, flooding, etc.
  • Determine the extent of damage
  • Dispose of all discarded and affected debris
  • Remove all water through extraction to prevent mold and additional damage by removing carpet or pads if needed
  • Determine amount of moisture in walls, floors, etc. by using a moisture meter and setting up the right number of air movers and dehumidifiers to dry and remove water and moisture
  • Apply antimicrobial, antibacterial or disinfectant treatments to affected areas
